Selling this vintage MARANTZ PM500 Integrated Amplifier Wooden (2 x 50W). A rare find by MARANTZ and in excellent condition. This amplifier were manufatured during the period that Marantz manufactured the most highest end audio equipment. The PM500 has been underated and certainly perfomed much better than its rivals. The true power rating of this amplifier is actually 130WATTS RMS per channel into 4ohms, and 65WATTS RMS into 8ohms. With a damping factor of 110, this amplifier produces no distortion that the human ear can identify. Most amplifiers only have a damping factor of approximately 85, with the better ones at 90. This one is 110. This is backed-up and proven by a Total Harmonic Distortion factor of only 0.03%. This is so low, its inaudible to the human ear. The Marantz PM500 amplifier is perfect for high-end audio enthusiasts. It is in full working condition - has been fully tested, serviced and inspected.
